The firm was founded in February 2026.
The managing attorney is Dan Urban. He has spent his entire career representing and representing taxpayers and helping them resolve issues with the Internal Revenue Service, State of Illinois, and City of Chicago.
We handle all manner of tax controversies including audit support and tax debt resolution cases.
We handle IRS audit cases, tax debt resolution, U.S. Tax Court cases, and others.
We handle IL audit cases (including sales tax, withholding tax, and income tax), along with IL debt resolution cases.
We primarily handle City of Chicago audit cases (including parking tax, lease tax, and the many other taxes Chicago imposes).
Illinois tax controversies are our primary practice area. Other state tax matters may be accepted a case-by-case basis.
Anytime you are in unfamiliar territory, it is helpful to have a guide. We use our experience and problem-solving skills to guide you through the tax resolution process and help you arrive at the best possible result. The other advantage of hiring an attorney is that you will not need to talk with the IRS. This both prevents you from making any misstatements and gives us more control over how we present information to the IRS.

IRS Audits

If you have received a Notice of Examination, Information Document Request, or Examination Report, schedule a consultation so we can review your case, takeover as point of contact with the IRS, and work with you on a strategy to close the audit successfully.

IRS Cryptocurrency Audits

If you have received an Information Document Request or Examination Report that references cryptocurrency, of if you have received cryptocurrency calculations from the IRS prepared by Taxbit or Chainalysis, schedule a consultation to review your case with the IRS, evaluate your options, determine if additional information should be submitted, and work with us on a strategy to resolve your case successfully.

IRS Appeals

U.S. Tax Court

Illinois Audits

If you have received a Notice of Audit, Information Document Request, or Auditor’s Report from the Illinois Department of Revenue, schedule a consultation. We will review your case, takeover as point of contact with the Illinois Department of Revenue, and work with you on a strategy to close the audit successfully.

Illinois Fast Track Resolution (“FTR”)

If you have received a Notice Eligibility for Fast Track Resolution, schedule a consultation so we can move quickly to review your case and begin negotiating a resolution with the Illinois Department of Revenue. There are strict time limits to apply for FTR, so don't wait to schedule your consultation.  There are strict deadlines with FTR, so don’t wait to schedule your consultation.

Illinois Informal Conference Board (“ICB”)

If you have received an Auditor’s Report from the Illinois Department of Revenue or any other document mentioning the Illinois Informal Conference Board (“ICB”), schedule a consultation. We will review your case, determine if any new information should be submitted, and present your case to the ICB.  There are strict deadlines in ICB cases, so don't wait to schedule your consultation.

Illinois Tax Tribunal

If you have received an Auditor’s Report from the Illinois Department of Revenue, or any other document that provides the right to appeal to the Illinois Tax Tribunal, schedule a consultation to review your case.  We will determine if any new information should be submitted, and prepare your case to the Illinois Tax Tribunal. There are strict deadlines with Illinois Tax Tribunal cases, so don’t wait to schedule your consultation.
